Nowadays,promoting quality-oriented education is inseparable from high-quality teachers team.Rural primary school teachers ’ professional quality and professional ability are related to the reform and development of basic education in rural areas,and related to the improvement of the overall quality of education in our country.Therefore,enhancing the competency level of the primary school teachers effectively in rural areas is around the corner.Based on this,this study tries to analyze the competence of China’s current rural primary school teachers,and propose appropriate strategies.In this study,using literature and questionnaire methods the writer investigated the status of rural primary school teachers’ competency by choosing 21 rural primary schools in Liaocheng City and a total of 240 teachers as a sample.It showed that teacher’s competency in the overall was in the state of basic competency.Among them,the teacher’s personality was more stable,strong interpersonal communication skills,which can conduct a social network and do care for all students;but also shows the teachers have lower professional quality,weak information collection ability,loss of sense of professional identity of teachers,weak awareness of respect and understanding of others and so on.To improve the competency of rural primary school teachers,we should make efforts from the state,schools and teachers.The national level: to improve the living conditions of teachers in rural primary schools;optimize teachers’ troop,speed up the process of rural primary education information,and establish and improve teachers’ evaluation system based-competency.School level: we can establish school-based teaching research on the basis of collective reflection,to establish al teacher learning community,and enhance teachers’ professional identity.Teacher level: we can establish the concept of lifelong learning,continue the "self-renewal";in operations research,from education to educational researchers;strengthen the moral education,enhance the sense of responsibility and mission;learn to adapt and enhance individual well-being.
