Learning difficulty is an ubiquitous phenomenon in educational circles.In high school,the phenomenon of learning difficulty in geography is particularly outstanding,high school underachievers in geography are gradually becoming a large group.High school underachievers in geography are a group of students whose intelligence and sense organs are normal,but they do have difficulties in learning geography and their learning effects are too low to reach the National Geography Curriculum Standards.Helping these students to get out of the dilemma of learning geography to realize integrated developments is not only the requirements of new curriculum reform and quality education,but an obligatory duty of every geography educator.I' ve had a half-year internship in the third middle school in Luoyang for high school geography teaching.Aiming at the forming reasons and needs of geographical underachievers and learning from existing scientific achievements and advanced experience especially the concept and idea of“taking targeted measures in poverty alleviation” since the 18 th National Congress of the CPC,i explored the transformation of high school underachievers in geography through the main channel of geography classroom teaching and two approaches which are extracurricular learning and practical activities by using modern information technology,the main opinions of this study are summarized: loving and warm geographical teaching is an inexhaustible driving force for the transformation of underachievers;precise assistance combining point and surface is the fast lane for the transformation of underachievers;the fair use of modern information technology is the effective weapon for the transformation of underachievers.
