A Study On The Dilemma Of Rural Floating Women With Social Worker's Intervention From The Strengths Perspective

With the rapid development of China's urbanization in recent years,many ru ral people gathered to cities and towns rapidly because of various requirements.So their production and lifestyle are facing significant transformation.Their smooth transition of non-farming has caused extensive concern by social public.Because of their special identity,rural floating women faced with a variety of complex factors in the process of adapting to urban life,which include the economic consumption demand,psychological adaptation needs and social communication needs,etc.The theory of strengths perspective can provide a new practice mode for solving these problems.From the practical elements of the strengths perspective,the risk elements faced by these rural floating women are mainly from the pressure of existence and the restrictions of family status;the protective factors they have are mainly from their own excellent character and family support;in the search for the advantage,we can find the supporting force that women can change present situation and solve problems.Partnership has been established by social workers and rural floating women in the practice based on the strengths that clients have.The social workers found their advantages and resources from the following two aspects: client factors and environmental factors.These not only enhance their ability to solve practical problems,but also protect their social,cultural,marriage and family rights,and promote their development of themselves.
