Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of The Team Construction About University Counselors

The ideological and political education of college students in universities has never been ignored by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,but the fact is that colleges and universities do not have a good implementation of the spirit of the central document.The moral education of college students should be carried out in their practice rather than in a document.In colleges,counselors,as an important staff group,have direct and close contact with students,so they are perfect candidates for the ideological and political education for college students.Counselors are responsible for college students' learning,living,exploring and personal growth,so they play multiple roles in the lives of students.Therefore the team construction of counselors makes a big difference on the effect of the ideological and political education in universities.The optimization of college counselor team construction is the premise of the ideological and political education and the guarantee of implementing the spirit of the central document.Since the reform and opening up,the spirit of “be practical and realistic” has arisen in Colleges and universities.In such a background,the college counselors have been seeking truth from facts,dedicating to hard work,innovation in work and devoting a lot of valuable experience to the test stand the practice,and hence the university has been a qualitative improvement in the ideological and political education and management of students.However in the new era,the current economic conditions,the explosion of knowledge and the popularization of the Internet exert challenges to the responsibilities and working strategies of counselors.In this case,the latent contradictions in the counselor team become prominent.The comprehensive ability of counselors is facing great challenge and need to be enhanced.So in the face of such problems in the team construction of college counselors,effective measures should be carried out for remedy.In addition,the new era also puts forward new requirements on college students' ideological and political education,and there is a pressing need to universities to improve and promote the efficiency and to strengthen the construction of counselor team.This article firstly introduces the definition of the counselor,their responsibilities,system development history and the present situation in the construction of team.Then it analyses the current situation of the team and points out problems existing in the current construction of counselors,and then analyses the reasons,put forward the corresponding countermeasures for these question.The current problems of the construction of the college counselors can be viewed from two perspectives: subjective and objective.Objectively,there is a lack of stability in the team construction as a result of multiple factors such as complex working responsibilities,uncertain working time,high risk,multi-role playing and unpromising career promotion.Subjectively,there are two aspects,including poor quality and unprofessional performance.Firstly,most instructors have deviations in understanding the nature of their work,and have a fuzzy self-positioning and attach insufficient importance to their profession.Secondly,they are in urgent need of self improvement including how to complete their knowledge structure,strengthen sense of responsibility and professional ethics.Based on the subjective and objective analysis,the article finally proposed the corresponding countermeasures.As followed: to improve the overall quality of counselors,set a high goal and enhance the overall level;to perfect management mechanism and strengthen the cultivation of professional quality and professional ethics.
