College Counselor Team Construction Problems And Countermeasures In The New Period

21st century is an era of informatization, internetization and diversification. With China’s further Reform and Opening-up and the acceleration of the high education popularization, high education also faces a ever-lasting situation. With the increase of the management problems for college students, the college counselors, as the main force for college students’ideological and political education and management work also faces more and more new problems and new challenges. The college students are not only the future of our county and the hope of our nation, but also the valuable human resource of our county. Colleges have the responsibilities to strengthen the students’ideological and political education and train them to be the builder and successors of the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The college counselors who work on the frontiers of the students’events should take this responsibility. The healthy growth of the students, the security and stability of the campus and the advance and prosperity of our country depend on the whole quality of the college counselors. The CPC and the country pay great attention to the development of the team of the college counselors. According to the16th document by the Central Committee, On further strengthening and improving college students’ideological and political education opinion in2004and On strengthening the higher school counselor class teacher team construction opinion published by ministry of education in2005. These two documents explicitly point out the college counselors are the backbone of college students’ideological and political education, and the mentor and polestar in shaping students’mental and health from the overall situation and strategic perspective. Strengthening the instruction of the team plays a significant role in implementing our party’s educational policy and getting the students’ideological and political education implemented on the ground. In this article, the author analyzes the reasons for the current situation of the instruction of the team by through his work experience and thinking and also gives some suggestions to the instruction of the team with the Equity theory and the Motivation theory.This article can be divided into3parts.In the first part. The author elaborates the significance of strengthening the instruction of the team through3sections. First, the need of adapting the new development of the high education. Second, the need of the college counselors’self development. Third, the healthy growth of the college students.In the second part. The author points out the current situation of the instruction of the team by several aspects. Such as the unstable mind, the unreasonable structure, the inadequacy of their professional identity, the contrast between the job and the salary, and the training situation isn’t optimistic, etc. He also expresses the disadvantages of the instruction of the team from the prospective of the leaders’ attention is insufficient and the counselors’ self quality in the relevant systems.In the third part, the author proposes measures to strengthen the instruction of the team by5sections. First, increase awareness of the instruction of the team. Second, improve the environment of the instruction of the team. Third, promote the whole team’s quality. Fourth, fix the system of the instruction of the team. Finally, strengthen mechanism construction of the team.
