A Study On Problems And Countermeasures Of Student Management In Private Colleges

Since the reform and opening up,private colleges,as a new force in higher education,has developed rapidly.It has brought up a large number of excellent social talents.Meanwhile,the rapid development of private colleges makes up,to some extent,the government's insufficient investment in education.And it has played an important role in promoting the popularization of Chinese higher education.The job of student management is an important part in college education,and so it is with private colleges.Student management,which belongs to the categories of higher education,is a science itself.And it is a hot topic at present.The relevant subject of student management is also a subject that involved many subjects,such as psychology,pedagogy,philosophy,management and so on.According to the present research,the majority of scholars focus their research on the management of ordinary college students and have obtained many theoretical results and practical experience.But at present,there is no systematic theoretical results and concrete model of student management about private colleges.It has been 30 years since the establishment of private colleges.In this period,it has achieved some results and successful experience,but still remains many problems in student management in reality.According to these situation,this thesis attempts to study the research of student management of private colleges,and discuss it.Then it analyzes the problems and reasons existing in the management.Finally,according to the problems existing in it,the thesis puts forward some correlative strategies to the point.This paper consists of the following several parts:Chapter one serves as the introduction part.It describes the research background and research purpose and significance and introduces the thesis research ideas,research methods and sampling method.By sorting out the related state of the research status at home and abroad,it reveals the researches in the student management at home and abroad,and summarizes the emphases,which lays the foundation for follow-up study.Chapter two expounds the theoretical concept of student management of private colleges.First of all,it makes clear the connotation of student management of private colleges,including not only student management,but also other diverse richness and efficiencies in helping students' growth.Secondly,this paper expounds the relevant concepts of student management of private colleges.Finally,it distinguishes the differences between universities and private colleges and provides theoretical guidance and reference for this study.Chapter three discusses the problems of student management of private colleges and analyzes the causes.Having studied by questionnaire survey and oral interviews,it concludes many problems such as the obsolete idea on student management,the unsound student management system,the specialization level of management team needing to be improved,student management methods being too simple and ignoring students' ideological and political education.By sorting and summarizing,it is believed that student management of private colleges is crippled by four factors: society,family,school and students.Chapter four,in view of the above analysis of the problems and the cause of the management work of colleges and universities,puts forward further solutions from such aspects as updating student management idea,perfecting qualitative quantitative assessment and supervision system,strengthening the construction of students comprehensive quality management team,enriching student management structure,diversifying management road,expanding channels of student management and integrating resources in family and colleges...
