| China officially entered the aging society in 1999,and showed a growing trend.In recent years,the state advocates active aging and encourages the elderlyto participate in diverse social activities and devote their remaining energy after retirement.The community is the place where the urban residentslive and depend on,while the retired elderly,especially the younger elderly are important part to participate in the community.They are still independent physically and mentally and willing to participate in community activities.The previous research on elders mainly focus on the situation,problems and influential factors of community participation.And how to promote the retired to participate better in the community is a problem worth studying.In this paper,based on the theory of positive perspective and positive aging,taking the community J in Rizhao City as an example,50 retired people at the age of 55-60 years were selected as the research object.Questionnaire survey and interview were used toobtain data concerning the participation frequency,aspiration,activities and related influencing factors of the retired elderly in community J.And the satisfaction of the group activities and the community participation of the team members were evaluated.Group activities inform the members of the community and activities about community participation.It also help the retired elderly realize their potential and advantage in participating the activities.Addition,the method of choosing group leader helps encourage members to organize community activates and enhance theirinitiative.In the final part,some suggestions were proposed on how to encourage the retired elderly to participate in the community activities,including to raise their sense of community participation,to build a platform for residents autonomy,to expand the channels for their community participation and to establish a long term mechanism for the community participation of the retired elderly. |
