Research On The Improvement Of Community Participation Ability Of Retired Urban Party Members Through Group Work Interventio

Enhancing the development of community-based governance systems and advancing the transformation of social governance priorities towards the grassroots level are the strategic requirements of the CPC Central Committee.As a key force of social governance,community residents need to enhance their enthusiasm and ability to participate,strengthen the integration of resident resources in the community,and attract more residents to participate in community governance,with a view to create a co-governance and sharing of the governance pattern,to promote the development of community governance at the grass-roots level.As a special community group,the retired party members in urban communities have extraordinary advantages in political consciousness,cultural attainment,work experience,personal prestige and so on,compared with the old people in ordinary communities.How to guide the Retired Party members to transform their own resources into an important force of community governance is an important link to improve community governance.Based on the findings of a household visit to F Community in Changchun City,this article finds that retired members of F Community have a high willingness to participate in community participation.However,due to factors such as the lack of participation platforms and channels,as well as the insufficient participation ability of retired members,there are phenomena such as a single participation content,low participation frequency,and low participation level in the process of community participation among retired members of F Community.Based on this,this article takes retired Party members from F community as the research object,using the method of group work to intervene under the guidance of the advantage perspective theory,active aging theory,and social activity theory.Through eight group activities,explore the advantages of team members and enhance their awareness of community participation;To guide team members to learn smartphone applications,communication and coordination skills,as well as organizational leadership skills,and improve their participation ability and confidence in participation;To assist team members in linking community resources,preparing for the establishment of a residential council,providing community residents with a platform for participation,broadening participation channels,and achieving team goals.After the completion of the activity,the author conducted a process evaluation and result evaluation of the activity.Through analyzing the evaluation of group members’ satisfaction with the group and the degree of goal achievement,it was found that group work can have a positive effect on improving the participation ability of retired community party members.Finally,this article summarizes and reflects on the entire process of group activities,including reflection on the effectiveness of group activities and self reflection of social workers,and puts forward the following suggestions: in the community,we should pay attention to excavate the advantages of retired party members in the district,build a platform for community residents to participate in community affairs;In the field of social work,we should continue to expand the influence of social work,improve social identity,and enhance the professionalism of social work,improve the service effect.
