Objective:The aim of the study was to understand the health status of the disabled children aged 8-18 years old by investigating the subjects' basic information,and children's physical function,emotional function,social function,role function,disability general module and specific module.Using the index of quality of life to know the children' health status and to explore the impacting factors on the quality of life for children with disabilities,and to provide evidence for the guide of rehabilitation institutions,special schools,communities,families to pay more attention to children's overall health.Methods:1.The research group used four types of disabled children's life quality of life scale for field investigation,selected the Taiyuan deaf and mute school,Lvliang technical and other vocational schools for deaf and mute children,rehabilitation center,Linfen cerebral palsy hospital and disabled rehabilitation center,Taiyuan blind school,Jinzhong special education school,Xing hualing special education school in Taiyuan,Jinzhong mental retardation school for the research site in Shanxi Province,a total of 766 hearing impaired children,360 disabled children,226 visually impaired children,and 156 children with intellectual disabilities were collected in this study.2.The data was sorted and analyzed using Excel,SPSS19.0 and LISREL8.70.Structure Equation Model was adopted to verify theoretical model of QOL.A descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the scores of QOL of disabled children and their possible influencing factors on QOL,for example,the degree of disability,gender,education level and residence.Results:(1)The QOL scores of 4 disabilities children were showed from high to low digressively: hearing impairments(73.46 ± 9.36),physical disability(64.22 ± 11.17),mentally handicapped(53.16 ± 10.44),visual impairments(39.65 ± 8.47).(2)It was found that the age,wearing hearing aids or cochlear implants and residence were the main influencing factor of QOL for hearing-impaired children.The influencing factors of the QOL in physical disabled children were degree of disability,father's education level,using special equipment,residence.Age and the use of available aids were important influencing factors on QOL for visually impaired children.The results showed the mainly influencing factors of the QOL of mental handicapped children were degree of disability,gender,genetic factor.Conclusions:Totally,the QOL of disabled children was lower in Shanxi province.It was found that the main influencing factors of QOL of disabled children included degree of disability,assistive devices,age,the income,education levels of parents and types of medical insurance etc.
