In the field of psychology, many researchers are interested in the study of regulatory emotional self-efficacy of non-sports groups, such as middle school students, high school students, college students and graduate students.Meanwhile,in the field of sports psychology,PE major students and athletes often have positive and negative emotions in sports competition, and sometimes will have extreme situations, which need to be well adjusted. However, little research studies had been conducted on PE major students and sports group concerning regulatory emotional self-efficacy.This study mainly adopts the open and closed questionnaire method, selects the PE major students of Shenyang Sport University as the test object, and on the basis of the revised “PE Major Students' Sports Competition Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy Questionnaire” to explore the basic characteristics of PE major students' regulatory emotional self-efficacy in sports competition and its relationship with competition state anxiety so as to provide empirical evidence for the relevant theoretical research and teaching practice of regulatory emotional self-efficacy in sports field. The research results are as follows:1.On the basis of the existing literature and the design of open questionnaire, the“Scale of PE Major Students' Sports Competition Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy” was revised.40 PE major students were selected as the subjects of open-ended questionnaire,200 as the subjects of predictive questionnaire and 400 as the subjects of formal survey questionnaire. The exploratory factor analysis and structural equation model showed that the scale had good reliability and validity, and reached the psychometric standard. The revised scale includes 14 items, four dimensions, namely: self-efficacy of expressing positive emotions,self-efficacy of managing anger/rage,self-efficacy of managing frustration/pain,and self-efficacy of managing anxiety /fear.2.The revised “Scale of PE Major Students' Sports Competition Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy” was used as a measuring tool to test 400 PE major students of Shenyang Sport University, and study the basic characteristics of PE major students' sports competition regulatory emotional self-efficacy and its relationship with competition state anxiety. The results show that:(1)PE major students' sports competition regulatory emotional self-efficacy is generally above average. As to gender differences,it shows thatthe boys' overall score of sports competition regulatory emotional self-efficacy are higher than girls and the boys' self-efficacy of managing anger/rage,anxiety/fear,and frustration/pain are better than girls. As to different grades, the freshman's self-efficacy of managing frustration/pain,anxiety/fear are significantly better than sophomore and junior and the overall score of regulatory emotional self-efficacy of freshman are significantly higher than sophomore and junior. In the self-efficacy of expressing positive emotions, sophomore are significantly worse than freshman and junior. In the self-efficacy of managing anger/rage,junior are significantly worse than freshman and sophomore. As to different sports levels,PE major students with level 2 or above are significantly better than no sports level students in the self-efficacy of managing anger/rage.(2)Each dimension of PE major students' sports competition regulatory emotional self-efficacy is negative to predict cognitive physical anxiety, physical state anxiety, but positive to predict state self-confidence,and the overall explanatory rate are respectively7.9%,3.4% and 7.6%.Research conclusion:1.The revised “Scale of PE Major Students' Sports Competition Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy” includes 14 items, four dimensions, namely: the self-efficacy of expressing positive emotions,self-efficacy of managing anger/rage,self-efficacy of managing frustration/pain,and self-efficacy of managing anxiety /fear.The questionnaire has good reliability and validity, and achieves the psychometric standard,so it can be used to evaluate PE major students' sports competition regulatory emotional self-efficacy objectively.2.The overall sports competition regulatory emotional self-efficacy of PE major students is well, among which the girls' regulatory emotional self-efficacy are lower than boys',freshman are better than sophomore and junior,PE major students with level 2 are better than no sports level.3.Each dimension of PE major students' sports competition regulatory emotional self-efficacy all significantly predicts three dimensions of competition state anxiety.Suggestion:1.“Scale of PE Major Students Sports Competition Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy” has good reliability and validity, and reaches the standard of statistical surveying, which can be used in the field of PE major students' sports competition. The questionnaire can be further verified and used in other fields such as high level athletesports competition.2.The sports competition regulatory emotional self-efficacy of girls majoring in PE needs to be strengthened, and it is necessary to improve the level of sports competition regulatory emotional self-efficacy of PE major students without sports level.3.It is suggested that sports experts and teachers should pay attention to the scientific training and cultivation of PE major students' regulatory emotional self-efficacy in daily teaching and competition(specific cultivating or improving methods, such as self-relaxation and self-suggestion,etc.).
