Research On The Application Of Social Work Methods In Improving The Spiritual And Cultural Life Of The Elderly

With the development of social economy in our country,under the impetus of industrialization,urbanization and modernization,we have once again ushered in a new round of social mobility,that is,the elderly population flows with the children to the city.But for most of the elderly immigrants,perhaps because of their children,care for the care of their grandchildren,from the countryside into the city,or to another city from the original city,and children living together.How to adapt and integrate into this completely unfamiliar urban scene and community life,how to deal with the relatively complex family relations,has become a major issue of life facing the elderly.Therefore,many domestic scholars have focused on the adaptation of the elderly to adapt to the community life,in community life adaptation is more concerned about the specific material life and ignore the old people’s spiritual life.In view of this,this study is committed to calling on the community to actively focus on the elderly groups,pay attention to their spiritual and cultural life,and social work into the spiritual life of the elderly to solve the problem.The research on Guiyang city S community with old person moving as the research object,using the research methods of questionnaire,interview method,literature method,participant observation on the S community Suiqian elderly spiritual and cultural life of the status quo of the current situation of demand and supply as well as the spiritual and cultural life in the analysis of existing problems.The use of social work methods and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,case work and group work and other professional social support theory,advantage theory perspective to help improve the spiritual life of elderly Suiqian problems in the S community,improve their quality of life in living with the spirit of the community.By the early of community and community Suiqian basic conditions of the elderly,case selection problems,typical case,through the 6 face-to-face visits services to help clients solve the problems of spiritual life.In the process of visiting many elderly people,the social workers choose the appropriate group members,conclude differentthemes,carry out the group activities with layers of in-depth themes,so as to improve the spiritual life of the group members.Social workers through the evaluation of the effectiveness of the practical process and summary of reflection,affirmed the positive role of case work and group work methods to improve the spiritual life of the elderly in the follow-up.
