High school Entrance Examination of P.E.is a peculiar Chinese examination method.With the restoration of P.E.examination in 2008,we are delighted to witness the new energy that P.E.has brought to schools.It attracted attention from different sectors of society.The positive influence is obvious to be seen,but disadvantages also appeared during its practice.With the implementation of High School and College Entrance Examination,most teachers regard P.E.as test-oriented education.Therefore,teachers only teach students what to be tested.Chinese teenagers' physique declines continuously.Not only does it affect the growth and lives of teenagers,but also it influences the health and education quality of talents in China.By conducting a survey among middle school P.E.teachers in Shi Dian County,Bao Shan city and studying Shi Dian Wan Xing Middle School students,this thesis discusses the practicality and effectiveness of traditional middle school P.E.class and P.E.class under new curriculum standard after a six-month research.The experiment was conducted by comparing two different classes under different teaching methods.One class was taught by combining the teaching objectives,contents,and feedback system of High School Entrance P.E.Examination with new curriculum standard,and during its course,we used the education system to assure the teaching quality.We found a balance between High School Entrance P.E.Examination and class teaching,which avoids test-oriented education in P.E.teaching and testing.Teaching and testing also reached the same goal by different means and improved the health quality of teenagers effectively and chronically,which further proved the practicability of P.E.teaching under the new curriculum standard.The survey comes to the following conclusions:1.The full implementation of the physical education test encourages school leaders,students and parents to pay more attention to test score,however,it did not take into account the interests of the students and the true purpose of physical and mental health education.School leaders,parents and students emphasize now the test results of physical education.This test raises the importance of PE teachers in schoolsand encourages the students to participate in physical exercise.It has a positive impact on the level of physical development,physical fitness and moving ability of middle school students,in which the single sporting event has the most significant impact.However,in order to meet the level of physical education examination requirement,teachers usually focus on training in class,ignoring the students' interest in learning and their personality development,as well as teaching students how to participate in lifelong physical activities.2.The full implementation of the physical education examinations changes the physical education curriculum,objectives,contents,methods and evaluation purposes.The teaching style has changed from the usual “sheep-herding” mode to a classroom that has teaching,learning,practicing and testing;But,some PE teachers turned regular classes into training sessions,only teaching materials that are centered around the examination.Teach and practice things that are only on the test.It is not the purpose of physical education and the requirements of the new curriculum standards.3.The physical education examination combined with the new curriculum standards will help students not only complete the entrance examination but also complete the tasks under the new curriculum standards.Experimental results show that the traditional training course can effectively improve the students' test results,especially in the long jump and other strength tests.But under the new curriculum standards,the results of testing students' flexibility and agility are better.It greatly shows the emphasis on these four areas in the new curriculum—sports skills,physical health,mental health and social adaptation;by changing the teaching method and teaching mode,the students will perform better in the functional classes and skill classes.The traditional objective of teaching students physical education is to achieve the perfect score.Once the perfect score is achieved,teachers and students will no longer carry out intensive training on that particular event,and instead,train on the weakest events.This method will hurt students' attitudes and interests.It is not good with their mental health and improving their social adaptation skills neither.
