With the gradual deepening of the new curriculum,educators around the reform upsurge of independence?cooperation and inquiry,they have a new understanding of mathematics teaching.Traditional teaching bound students to passive acceptance and imitation training,this is not good for students to understand the process of knowledge and the nature of knowledge.New curriculum put forward new requirements for mathematics teaching in senior high school.We should make energetic efforts to raise students' positive emotion,to encourage students' ability to think,communicating and cooperative.And let students are bold in exploration and practice.It would help to develop students' creative thought and improve students' autonomous learning ability.So,inquiry teaching plays an important role in mathematics teaching in senior high school.This article mainly uses the literature method,case analysis method and action research method.On the basis of referring to a large number of document literatures,combined with practical experience,using Geometric Sketchpad to apply inquiry teaching to mathematics teaching in senior high school.This article mainly uses cases about conical section problems and function problems,to research the following five aspects: from special to general;multi-solutions of one problem;variant and extended;question teaching;analogical transfer.This paper presents the principle about mathematics inquiry teaching in senior high school,points out that teaching should follow the education ideas of human-oriented,show the student individuality.Teachers should give students a reasonable guide,encourages students to exploration independently.Meanwhile,this paper presents some strategy about mathematics inquiry teaching: create a classroom atmosphere about positive exploration,equal and democratic;create situations and stir up the student's investigation desire;advocate students to exchange and cooperation;by using the Geometer's Sketchpad to provide students with approaches of inquiry learning.
