With the rapid development of China's education,everyone has received about12 years of basic education,access to the infinite development of the potential for China's vigorous development laid the foundation for talent.Middle school teachers are the builders of basic education in China,and high-level basic education comes from high-quality secondary school teachers.Study the development of geography teachers in middle school,,for the investigation of geography teacher professional level,to promote the development of geography education,it is of great significance to improve the quality of basic education.Southern Xinjiang is located in the remote,social and economic development is slow,the human environment is complex,the level of geography education is not high,the geography teacher professional development research rarely.Research on the professional development of geography teachers in southern Xinjiang can supplement the investigation data and promote the research progress.The schools were surveyed in the cities of Atushi,Aheqi County,Aktu County,Shaya County and the Second Division of Yanqi Reclamation in southern Xinjiang.All five schools were taught in Chinese.The author has worked in the southern region for three years and then combined with the questionnaire,the investigation of the five schools of geography teacher professional situation,to reflect the southern region of geography teachers professional level.The author investigates the status quo of geography teacher professional development in southern Xinjiang,and finds out the hidden problems.Through the in-depth analysis of the problem,to find out the factors that affect the professional development of geography teachers,and put forward some suggestions to enhance the professional level of geography teachers.Through the survey to get the following conclusions: 1.lack of teachers in school.Lack of geography teachers,leading to the task of per capita geography teaching heavy,difficulties in carrying out extracurricular activities and exploration of teaching aids.2.Educational theory is not solid knowledge.Most geography teachers lack the opportunity to participate in training and learning,understanding of new educational concepts and new knowledge is not deep,encountered in the teaching of the new concept of "not acclimatized" when it is difficult to carry out effective improvements.3.Work enthusiasm has a downward trend.Geography teachers professional sense of decline,geography teachers have a strong sense of job burnout.Part of the geography teachers on the teaching material research level isshallow,teaching activities less new ideas,the quality of education is not enough attention.4 lack of teaching monitoring ability,Students often fail to achieve the desired teaching objectives.5.Work pressure from the composition of the pressure from outside the teaching is too large.A wide variety of tasks,a lot of energy is spent on non teaching tasks.6 lack of team awareness.Geographical teachers have a strong personal sense,but the lack of awareness of others to solve problems,Don't care about group growth.7 development consciousness is weak.Most geography teachers work in the status quo,personal plans are not detailed,lack of professional development consciousness.Through the in-depth analysis of the above findings,The author puts forward the specific opinions on promoting the professional development of the geography teachers in the southern region from four aspects: the geography teacher itself,the teaching school,the local education department and the local society.It is expected to help the local community to carry out geography education.
