Objective: To investigate the smoking status of medical and non-medical undergraduate students in Chongqing.Study the characteristics and influencing factors of smoking behaviors.To investigate the attitudes and behaviors of tobacco control among medical and non-medical undergraduate students in Chongqing,and their influencing factors.Put forward some targeted recommendations on tobacco control according to the results of the survey.Methods: Use the random cluster sampling.The undergraduate colleges are divided into medical and non-medical,and randomly selected 1 medical school and 2 non medical colleges as the survey object.Then investigate the undergraduate students from grade 1 to grade 3.There are 12 classes were investigated in the medical school,each grade 4 classes.There are 6 classes were investigated in every non-medical school,each grade 2 classes.Results:The effective response rate was 94.74%(1531/1616),806 students were surveyed in medical college,and 725 students were investigated in non medical schools.The smoking rate of the subjects was 5.62%,the smoking rate of medical students was 4.47%,the smoking rate of non-medical students was 6.90%.Single factor analysis showed that there were different influencing factors of smoking among medical and non medical undergraduate students.There was no significant difference in smoking status,smoking amount,sources and price of cigarettes among medical and non-medical undergraduate students.In non medical schools,the numbers of students who smoke in the teaching and administrative buildings are more.In medical colleges,the phenomenon of selling cigarettes is more.The rate of medical college and non medical college students is high for a number of tobacco control measures,and the difference was not statistically significant.There was no significant difference in the behavior of smoking control among medical college students and non medical college students,including discourage family smoking,discourage relatives and friends smoking,following smoking control information.Multi factor logistic regression analysis of college students' willingness to participate in tobacco control activities showed that the main influencing factors are school type,gender,educational level of mother,the frequency of pay attention to the smoking control information,the degree of concern for others smoking around,which approach to smoking at home,advocate what kind of approach to smoking at home,advocate what kind of approach to smoking in the dormitory,are you interested in tobacco control activities,attitudes toward tobacco control(If you have the opportunity to participate in public policy formulation).Conclusion:College students as high-quality young people,is the driving force of tobacco control activities,especially medical college students as the future of the health system staff,for the future of tobacco control plays an important role.In order to do a good job in the tobacco control work,the relevant government departments should be based on the characteristics of different types of schools to develop the campus tobacco control policies,and actively cultivate the social responsibility of college students;the school should strengthen propaganda and education to improve college students' knowledge of tobacco control,self protection consciousness,actively resist secondhand smoke;social media should promote a positive example such as publicity outstanding units create a smoke-free campus,create a good atmosphere for public opinion.In order to do a good job in tobacco control work in colleges,three parties must work together.
