The experts and scholars for higher education have never neglected the innovation and development of student management system in universities.China's higher education is an important part of the national education because it determines the output quality of university's talents to the society.With the continuous development of the university,the problems faced by the student management in universities are becoming more complicated,especially the conflict events between students and schools are increasingly prominent.The reform of current student management is also faced with a series of problems,such as the slow updating of management concept,the relatively rigid institutional system and the weak action of student self-management.It has become the core problem for people to make the student management in universities step on a standardized and scientific road.Also,the way in which the student management system escorts university management has become an important research problem in higher education field.With the increasing complexity of social situation,it must require the construction of student management system in universities to have its own new initiatives,new ideas and new creations.Also,the ultimate goal of student management system in universities is to cultivate students' comprehensive growth.In the development process of student management system in universities,we should deal with the relationship between the following aspects at any time: inheritance and development,combination of morality and law,the participation of students and parents,and public opinion surveillance.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction which mainly makes an overall statement of this entire paper from research background,research value,literature review,the definition of main concepts,research thoughts and methods.The second part analyzes and elaborates the historical evolution of student management system in universities before 1990,including primary development,rough progress,primary construction,stagnation stage,gradual recovery and other historical stages.This system starts from the temporary notice and document until the introduction of “regulations on student management in ordinary universities” to step towards the road of inner unity.In this paper,the subsequent research in this paper mainly takes the text revision and perfection of Regulations as the research core and combs the development curve of student system.In the third part,it uses present development condition to put forward the development characteristics of five aspects of student management system in universities,i.e.people oriented,managing the university by law,self-management,scientization,standardization and levelization.The fourth part mainly explains the problems and causes of student management system in universities.This paper recognizes that besides the deepening of the law and student self-management,we should pay more attention to a series of mechanisms based on student interests.The fifth part is the most important research content.All research on student management system in universities aimed at the healthy development of higher education as well as the overall growth of college students.This paper focuses on the “people-oriented” management concept,optimizing the management system,deepening the “managing the university by law”,establishing the competitive incentive mechanism,and constructing the system that integrates consultation,supervision with evaluation to conduct a research.It realized that the system is not only for the purpose of restraining and managing students,but also for the prevention of students' unhealthy values and behavioral habits,as well as protecting the legitimate rights and interests of students.The reform of student management system in universities and the theoretical results of its improvement research can better guide the innovation and development of student management in universities.Compared with other countries in the world,China's higher education started late.In many aspects,the student management in foreign universities and its system superiority are worthy of being learned and cited by us.It can be seen from the research of this paper that the development of higher education is a relatively complicated circulation system,while the student management system in universities is one of the most important components.The construction of the cause of education will directly affect the citizens' education quality,as well as their overall education literacy and quality.Bother the party and the state have always attached great importance to the development of higher education institutions in the education sector,and focus on the knowledge theory and skill practice level of talent output,as well as spend a lot of money,material support and professional talents in this undertaking.However,since the development of the student management system in universities,we can deeply understand that the change of the system is not the matter of a single day.Instead,it needs to persevere to study and learn foreign advanced management concepts and systems,study a set of management system suitable for Chinese students.At the same time,China has vast territory and abundant resources,where each area has its own unique culture and customs.And,each university is located at different areas and also has different history backgrounds so that their conditions are very different.As a result,it shouldn't completely imitate the experience from any other countries,but also cannot slavishly copy the change measures of other universities.On the contrary,it should focus on their own characteristics and development direction to find the problems and shortcomings existing in the implementation process of student management system through using a practical and realistic and advanced attitude and the effective corrective measures.
