School uniform is a special clothing with educational significance,it as a material carrier of campus culture,not only has the special education functions and cultural connotations that the popular dress doesn't have,but also reflects the cultural characteristics and educational philosophy of a school.The implementation of uniforms is not just conducive to the unification and standardization of school management,and effect on students' moral cognition,integration of quality and aesthetic taste can not be ignored.However in the process of school uniforms,people habitually regard school uniform as a non-educational elements,the neglect of school uniforms led to the problem of restricted education function increasingly serious.Therefore,researching look at the school uniform,reiterating the positive significance and value of the existence,then focusing on its educational function is the issue that the article research and exploration.This paper takes some teachers and students of some middle schools in Xi'an as the research object,and using the methods of questionnaires and dialogue interviews to investigate the three aspects,including of current school uniform recognition,school uniform culture function cognition and school uniform educational effect.Through the analysis of the survey results,it is found that school uniform produce positive impact in the process,such as it benefit to avoid blind comparisons,promote the concept of equality,facilitate school management,conducive the campus culture.Nonetheless,it also brings negative impact,for instance,inhibition of student diversity,aesthetics and creativity,students lack of youth.On the basis of the above,the author analyzes the reasons of the restriction on the function of school uniforms,and points out that there are some factors restrict school uniform educational function in the present stage.They are the lack of comprehensive understanding of the function of school uniforms,the implementation system has drawbacks,school uniform cultural inclusiveness and inheritance is not enough,middle school aesthetic education exist defects.Based on the analysis of the reasons of restricting the educational function of secondary school uniforms,and combining with the educational concepts and the characteristics of students' groups in the current era,the author put forward several effective ways to solve it.The ways respectively are deeply explore the connotation of school uniforms,organize students to participate in the design,take into account the diversity of school uniforms,improve the implementation system of school uniform,integrated into the national culture characteristics,enhancement of school uniforms' identification,strengthening of students' aesthetic education.By this way student can acquire a better all-round development in one's thought ? personality ?behavior?character and spirit,and enhance the sense of belonging in this specific place at school.
