The students' ability of secondary vocational school can divide into the hard skills and the soft skills.The hard skills refer to the professional skills and professional knowledge,and soft skills are a series of comprehensive ability and overall quality in addition to the hard skills.Vocational schools generally attach importance to the cultivation of hard skills,ignoring the cultivation and improvement of soft skills.The lack of soft skills directly affects the career development of the students.In today's society,enterprises and other employers pay special attention to the soft skills of graduates.The students who with high levels of soft skills can better meet the needs of enterprises.So the cultivation of soft skills is urgently needed.With the methods of literature,questionnaire survey and interview,this paper completes the domestic and foreign literature review and the theoretical basis of the soft skills through searching the literature.The questionnaire survey mainly selects the Shijiazhuang Engineering School as the representative of the vocational school as a case study of the students' soft skills.And an investigation and statistical analysis are used.Interviews are directed primarily at school leaders and employers.This study focuses on two core concepts: soft skills and secondary vocational school.Around these two concepts,this paper focuses on the following questions:(1)What are the theoretical basis and the practical significance of soft skills?(2)How is the current level of soft skills in secondary vocational students?(3)What are the requirements for the quality of the business?(4)What issues to be improved for the development of soft skills and how to improve?According to the questions above,the paper mainly contains the following parts: First is the definition of the core concepts,research summary,research purpose,research significance,and research design.The paper takes "soft skills training in secondary vocational school" as the starting point.The status of the soft skills training at home and abroad is outlined.It also analyzes the purpose and significance of the soft skills training and further outlines and designs the ideas of the context.Secondly,it mainly introduces the theoretical basis and practical significance of soft skills.The non-intellectual factors theory,the unity of inner knowledge and action and the lifelong learning theory are the cornerstones of the theory that support the soft skills.Then it focuses on the questionnaire survey on the status of the soft skills training in the secondary vocational schools.It conducts interviews and questionnaires for students and teachers respectively.The content of the questionnaire mainly includes the understanding of the concept,significance and evaluation of the soft skills.A variance analysis on the students of different majors,genders and regions is conducted.It also has an analysis for the status development of the soft skills from the perspective of the teachers.The next step is combining the findings of the case,pointing out the existing problems and analyzing the causes the problems.Finally,it is aimed at the existing problems in soft skills training in secondary vocational schools.Some training strategies and suggestions are proposed from the three levels of the country,school and students respectively.
