The classroom teaching of Chinese is not only a skill,but also an art.The technique of 'leaving intended blank' plays a more and more important role in the Chinese reading teaching in senior high school.Based on the Chinese traditional philosophy,the theory of Reception Aesthetics,Gestalt Theory and the constructivism learning theory,combined with the present situation of senior high school Chinese reading teaching,this paper attempts to analyze the necessity and feasibility of applying the art of 'leaving intended blank' in senior high school Chinese reading teaching and explore the ways of its application.The study and analysis on many teaching cases have proved that the technique of 'leaving intended blank' can help the students to experience the charm of Chinese language,stimulate students? interest in learning Chinese and improve their ability of self-exploration.By using the art of 'leaving intended blank',the Chinese reading teaching is combined with students' personallife experience,which better serves for the students' all-round development.
