Reading extracurricular classics is not only an essential part of Chinese literature learning,but an important way to cultivate humanity accomplishment and develop various abilities,which plays an irreplaceable role during the whole learning process for students.However,regarding the current situation of education,big words seldom accompany great deeds in senior high school;many students never read classics after class.Especially in rural high schools,it is limited to push ahead with reading extracurricular classics,both subjectively and objectively.In 2016,I conducted a questionnaire with more than 400 students in 3 rural high schools of Liuyang,Hunan Province,and had discussions with some teachers and booksellers,and the worry for over the result outweighs the joy,which inspired my idea of studying and researching the issue.This thesis consists of three key points:First are the efforts to investigate and analyze the current situation and problems of extracurricular Chinese reading in rural high schools.It is mainly affected by cognition,purpose,purview,desire and habit of reading extracurricular classics.Second is rethinking the issue of extracurricular Chinese reading in rural high school.After the questionnaire survey,I concluded that there are two main reasons;the first is the passivity of students in rural high schools,and the second is the formalized guidance to on extracurricular Chinese reading.Third are the preliminary strategies for solving the problem of extracurricular Chinese reading in rural high school.1.Flipping the classroom.A flipped classroom is quite different from the traditional teaching model,which reflects the constantly improving new curriculum reform.And it is not only the object of studying diversification of teaching methods on new curriculum reform but also the content of social development and practice research,fully reflecting the theory of "teaching has the law but isn't fixed".2.Creating a scholarly campus.Based on the development of teachers and students,innovate learning conceptions,build a learning platform,create a learning environment and establish an ecosystem and sharing network.3.Improving the guidance level of teachers towards extracurricular Chinese reading.To improve the reading level of students to extracurricular classics,the guidance of teachers is essential.It requires teachers to keep learning and self-questioning while improving their professionalism.Teachers also need to strengthen cooperation and exploration.Flipping the classroom,creating scholarly campus and improving the guidance level of teacher towards extracurricular Chinese reading can give some guidance and help on extracurricular Chinese reading in high school,especially in rural area.
