Objective: To investigate the effects of intervention on the nursing students' cognition, behavior compliance and attitude of standard prevention so as to provide reference for nursing students' future better training before practice, reducing the incidence of hospital infection, better self protection and reducing risk of exposure to occupation hazards. Methods: The status and its influencing factors of nursing students' cognition, behavior compliance and attitude on standard prevention were measured by homemade questionnaires. Then the main problems and relevant interventions were established. Before the practice,218 undergraduate nursing students were trained in theory and practice skills. In addition, close contact with all practice hospitals was established, the information of student practice was fed back, hospital equipment and hospital infection supervision and management system were in hand. After the practice, the data were collected again, the intervention effect was evaluated, and the influential factors of standard intervention knowledge were analyzed by single factor ANOVA and multi factor linear regression.Results:(1)After intervention, the scores of nursing students' basic cognitive on standard prevention increased, among which the concept of standard prevention, the aim of standard prevention, the concept of disinfection sterilization, route of transmission of hospital infection,hand-washing indications, the purpose of wearing gloves were improved statistically significantly(P<0.05).Additionally,growth rates of the concept of the concept of standard prevention and disinfection sterilization, the transmission way of the hospital infection, the purpose of wearing gloves were higher.(2)Before intervention, students' scores in compliance aspect of standards prevention was low.But after intervention and practice, every aspects were improved, and the compliance of processing of hand washing, disinfection of hands and sharp instruments handling had significant differences(P < 0.05).the overall growth rate of compliance was high and the highest growth rates were in hand washing and disinfection of hands.(3)Before intervention, students' scores in standard prevention attitude were low.But after intervention and practice, the scores were generally improved, and each item was improved statistically significantly(P < 0.05).Additionally,the highest growth rates were in the concept of standard prevention behavior, disease susceptibility and the severity of the disease.(4)The intervention group had significantly higher scores than non-intervention group in the theory and skills examination(P < 0.05).The growth rate of knowledge on hospital infection was the highest.(5)In terms of compliance of standards prevention, the intervention group had higher accuracy rates in hand washing, wearing gloves and sharp instrument processing. The differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).(6)The results of ANOVA and multiple linear regression analysis showed that the score of standard prevention had no statistical significance between different gender and practice province(P>0.05).In higher age, higher grade of hospital, more education approaches, more needle stabbed, the objects had higher scores. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The most effective factor was the hospital grade, then were needle stick injuries and education approaches. Conclusion: Interventions could effectively improve nursing students' basic cognitive and compliance on standard prevention and the level of operating skills, but still need continuous improvement.
