The Impact Of Population Aging On Economic Growth In Jiangsu

Aging of population is already a major problem in today's society.The aging of the population changes not only the age structure of the population,but also influences the economic growth and the people's life by influencing the consumption,saving and labor supply.The trend of population aging is irreversible,we should actively respond to its negative impact.Based on the actual situation of economic and social development in Jiangsu Province,this paper starts from the empirical research on the impact of population aging on Jiangsu's economic growth,and puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.This article specifically includes:First of all,based on the domestic and international research on population aging,as well as population structure changes related to economic growth related to the analysis of Jiangsu population aging status and characteristics of the aging population in Jiangsu and the reasons for the detailed summary of the Jiangsu population aging And the population aging in Jiangsu and the national population to make a detailed comparison of the aging and found that Jiangsu population aging is higher than the national average.Then,based on the current situation of population structure in Jiangsu,the relationship between aging and savings,consumption and labor supply in Jiangsu Province is analyzed.The result shows that the increase of the old-age dependency ratio will have a negative impact on the saving rate of Jiangsu.With the deepening of population aging,the total saving level of Jiangsu will decrease.The increase in the aging population leads to a relative decline in the proportion of the working-age population.The reduction of the labor supply and the impact of labor productivity will affect the production and development of society to a certain extent.The consumption structure and consumption level of residents will also be affected by the increase in the elderly population.The proportion of expenditure on consumption of medical and health care and the proportion of expenditure on education,culture and entertainment services has increased significantly,and the total consumption level in Jiangsu has also increased significantly.After Then,we use the Var model to analyze the effect of population aging on the economic growth of Jiangsu.The results show that there is a long-term correlation between population aging and economic growth in Jiangsu.There is a one-way causal relationship between demographic variables and economic variables.Jiangsu's economic growth is not the cause of population aging.Economic growth,and population aging has a negative effect on economic growth.Finally,as the population aging trend is irreversible in the short term,based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward how to alleviate the aging of the population from the four aspects of speeding up the economic growth rate,developing and using the old human resources,subdividing the aged consumption demand and enhancing the human capital level.Suggestions on the Influence of Economic Growth.
