With the development of the new curriculum,primary school English reading teaching has achieved a remarkable result.The teaching quality is improved significantly.Although the primary school English teachers' teaching awareness of enhancing the language sense of students has been strengthened gradually,it is undeniable that the impact of the exam-oriented education is still large.In general,it makes the primary school English teaching give excessive attention to language itself,language knowledge teaching,through repeated memory and mechanical training to learn language,which neglects the cultivation of language sense of students,even neglects the ability of using language,which leads to English teaching can not meet the current needs of cross cultural conmunication.At the same time one of the prominent characteristics of the new primary school English teaching materials is to enhance the students' consciousness of language sense,and one of the most effective ways to achieve the teaching of reading which can make English language and language become a fusion.So how to cultivate the students' language sense in the English reading teaching has become one of the important topics for primary school curriculum reform.This study is taken as the combinations of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,primarily based on the qualitative analysis,to design the research framework.Firstly,it gives the detailed descriptions of the relevant concepts,research status and the main problems which are existed in the current on cultivating language sense in English reading in primary school.Secondly,it takes one primary school's English teachers and students in Jilin Province as the subject of study and the students of English Teaching Department of University as the ancillary study to conduct questionnaire survey and interviews,which aims to understand the effective ways and status quo of cultivation of language sense in English reading teaching of primary school from the understanding,teaching,evaluation etc.in order to explore the effective ways and status quo of cultivation of language sense in English reading teaching of primary school.Thirdly,based on the statistical analysis of the questionnaire and interview records,it analyzed the main problems of cultivation of language sense in the current primary school English reading teaching,such as,the lack of effective evaluation system for the cultivation of language sense in English reading,the lack of environment for the cultivation of language sense in English reading,the lack of opportunity for the cultivation of language sense in extracurricular English reading.Finally,it proposes some main countermeasures on how to solve those problems,such as,to carry out the teaching mode innovation for the cultivation of language sense in English reading actively,to establish effective evaluation for the cultivation of language sense in English reading,and to create a favorable environment and atmosphere for the cultivation of language sense in English reading actively.
