A Study On The Image Of Excellent Mother In Chinese And Foreign Educational Movies

Since ancient times,our country has paid much attention to education provided by mothers,but with the faster pace of life and the increasing life burden in today's society,most women no longer limit to their families,instead they start to participate in more social activities.Many women cannot balance their social role and maternal role.Lacking of modern education concept and often applying the empiricism from the older generation to family education make them don't know how to build the image of mother in modern family education.While the society is calling for father's return to family education,less importance is attached to education provided by mothers.This paper selects 30 Chinese and foreign movies about excellent mothers to analyze the image of mother in the movies.This paper adopts the methods of literature research,text analysis,induction and comparison from the perspective of pedagogy to conduct in-depth research into the images of excellent mothers in these movies and summarizes the six types of excellent mothers from the perspective of their personality trait and educational mode.This paper also makes a comparative study on the similarities and differences of the images of excellent mothers in Chinese and foreign movies.In the end,this paper summarizes the author's point of view of the teacher-style mother's image and elaborates on the four core qualities in teacher-style mother based on the analysis of the images of excellent mothers in the movies coupled with the performance of excellent mothers in real world.This paper aims at provoking some thought and enlightenment in mothers in real world by the images of excellent mothers in the movies so as to heighten the society's awareness of mother's education and promote the transition of the image of mothers in contemporary China.
