Disabled Elderly In Nursing Home Case Of Improving Quality Of Life In Social Work Intervention

As a special,rapidly expanding and highly vulnerable group,the disabled elderly will have a major impact on China's political,economic,cultural and social aspects.When it comes to the disabled elderly which we are faced with currently,We are not only helping them to solve the problem of subsistence and housing,but also how to meet their higher-level quality of life issues under the circumstances that they have obtained basic living conditions.At present,the study on the improvement of the quality of life of the disabled elderly people focuses more on the macro-level theoretical perspective and lacks specific practices on the micro-level.This study is based on the L disabled elderly in the H care institution in Nanguan District of Changchun.Through the disciplinary perspective of social work,the professional theories,techniques,and methods of individual social work practices are used in this study.It is hoped that they can help disabled seniors in the care institutions.Try to solve the problem of quality of life in order to achieve the goal of improving the quality of life and life satisfaction of the disabled elderly people in institutions.This paper mainly uses the practical methods and interview skills of individual social work cases to carry out service activities.In the early stages of the case practice activities,the social worker actively establishes professional relationships with the client in terms of trust,which comprehensively assesses and effectively diagnoses the problems affecting the quality of life,thus preparing for the specific practical intervention.In the process of case practice,the social worker mainly uses psychosocial treatment models to help the client adjust bad emotions,improve family communication patterns and interactive relationships,build external social support forces,and make efforts to improve the quality of life.In the latter part of the case-study activities,the social worker assesses the degree of achievement of the service objectives of the entire case service process and assesses the satisfaction of the service object,mainly to assess the effectiveness of the case work and changes in the service targets.Through the effective intervention of individual social work case,the satisfaction level of the quality of life of the service object in the H pension institution and the quality of life had been gradually improved by the intervention of individual social work case.Based on the above individual social work intervention,the social worker have conducted professional reflections on improving the quality of life of the disabled elderly in H-pension institutions: Firstly,they need to make accurate assessments for the disabled elderly;Secondly,they need to develop a comprehensive plan for the disabled elderly;Thirdly,we should link various resources for the disabled elderly;Fourthly,we need to provide the disabled elderly with regular follow-up.In addition,social workers put forward constructive countermeasures to improve the quality of life of the disability elderly in H-pension institutions: Firstly,efforts should be made to upgrade the professional skills and service levels of social workers;Secondly,we need to pay active attention to the personalities of disabled elderly people in nursing home institutions.Thirdly,we should strengthen the support of the social support network for the elderly who are disabled and accompany them.The fourth part is to effectively promote the policy of nursing care services for the disabled elderly.
