Research Into The Construction Of The Students' Associations In Henan Provincial Demonstrative Senior Highs

With the constantly deepening of the basic education reform and college admission laying more emphasis on students' overall qualities,activities of students' associations have become a key components of students' studying life in elementary school.Life in students' associations is and will be a key organizational form now and within a quite long period from now on.Students' performance in students' associations will also become a important criterion in assessing their overall qualities.In order to know the construction and development of the students' associations in Henan provincial demonstrative senior highs in Zhengzhou City,the thesis first collected and organizing data concerned,laid theoretical foundation for the whole research,and designed the questionnaire and the interview outline.Then the thesis did1000 copies of questionnaires' research in five Henan provincial demonstrative senior highs in Zhengzhou City,got 973 copies of effective ones,and had interviews with 10 academic advisors of the students' associations.The result showed that the main problems facing the students' associations in the demonstrative senior highs are as follows: the activities do not have fixed place and time,the associations do not have financial support,the appointment and training of the academic advisors is not proper,the supervision and guidance of the associations is not that proper and so on.Then the thesis analyzed the successful experience of three students' associations of Zhengzhou Foreign Language School: Model United Nations Association,Leadership Development Association,and Business Elite Association,learning the common experience is the support of leaders at all levels,participation of the most outstanding students and adopting different modes.Based on the above research,the thesis put forward the following suggestions for promoting the sound development of the students' associations in Henan provincial demonstrative senior highs: Firstly,on the part of the schools,they should provide proper place and time for the associations,give financial support,improve the appointment and training of the academic advisors and strengthening the supervision and guidance of the associations.Secondly,from the angle of the academic advisors,they should have a perfect mastery of professional skills,upgrade their educational background,attend special training and so on.Thirdly,the students should choose their associations according to different purposes,hold fast to their own choices,gain more experience through practice and so on.Fourthly,the parents of the students should cooperate with the schools and teachers,learn relative educational common knowledge,give money to their kids to attend some specific activities and so on.All in all,the good development of the students' associations is the result of the joint effort from the schools,the teachers,the students and their parents.We are looking forward to and devoting to the splendid future of the students' associations,contributing their part in quality education of the senior high students.
