In modern society,high school students are in a critical period of self-consciousness,and they care about others' evaluation of themselves.In this case,the high school students can easily use self-handicapping strategies for self-worth protection,this will be the adverse impact on individual pursuit of mission success,which may increase the probability of individual failure,and may affect high school students to use more self-handicapping strategies in the later behavior which can influence their achievement motivation.This will produce negtive impact on the growth and development of high school students.At the same time,the Father Rearing also has an important influence on the sense of self-worth.The thesis selects 546 senior high school students from Mengcun High School to make a group testing by using EMBU,AMS and SHS to investigate and analyse the present situation and the interrelationship of father`s rearing,achievement motivation and self-handicapping in the group of senior high school students.The conclusions as follow:1.The Father Rearing of senior high school students are significantly different in gender,grade,social class,father's degree of education and occupation.2.Generally speaking,the achievement moativation of senior high school students is better than other groups,and there are significant differences in gender,class,grade and father's degree of education.3.To some extent,Senior high school students have self-handicapping phenomenon which have significant differences in class,grade and father's occupation.4.There are positive correlations between the achievement motivation and father's emotional warmth,excessive interference,which can positively predict,and there are negative correlations between achievement motivation and father's eccentricity and deny which can negatively predic the achievement motivation.5.Self-handicapping of high school students has negative correlation with father's emotional warmth which influence predicting self-handicapping negatively,and father's deny,punishment and excessive protection can positively predict self-handicapping.6.The achievement motivation of senior high school students is significantly correlated with self-handicapping,and the achievement motivation can negatively affect the prediction of self-handicapping.7.The achievement motivation play a mediating role between the father rearing of high school students and self-handicapping.The emotional warmth of the father`s rearing can directly affect the self-handicapping of high school students,and indirectly affect the self-handicapping by influencing the achievement motivation.
