Vocabulary teaching is an essential content in Chinese teaching and it plays an important role in primary Chinese teaching.Vocabulary teaching is the basis of reading teaching and writing teaching,which has an important influence on the development of students' ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing,as well as the formation of Chinese accomplishment and humanistic accomplishment.Especially for the higher grades students whose reading and writing tasks are much heavier,vocabulary teaching is particularly important.However,in current Chinese teaching,the low vocabulary teaching efficiency of the higher grades and the poor students' vocabulary learning effects have become a common and unsuitable situation.This paper will take A primary school higher grades' vocabulary teaching as the research object and have a deep investigation of the current situation of Chinese vocabulary teaching in higher grades by synthetically using literature analysis method,questionnaire method,interview method,observation method and so on so that the author can sum up the current problems in Chinese vocabulary teaching in higher grades in Harbin A Primary School and have a rigorous analysis of the formation of the problems.Based on these,the author put forward practical solutions to these problems.In this paper,the author adopted the way of the combination of theory and practice and divided it into four chapters to deeply illustrate the problems and countermeasures in primary Chinese vocabulary teaching.The first chapter is the introduction part,mainly elaborating the question proposed,the research goal and the significance,the literature summary of domestic and foreign present research situation,the definition of the related concepts as well as the research method.The second chapter is the investigation part: the author took A primary school higher grades' Chinese vocabulary teaching as the research object,carried out a detailed investigation and study by using the method of questionnaire investigation,observation and interviews,and based on them finally summarized and analyzed the survey results.The third chapter is the analysis of the problems and reasons: by interpreting the problems in A primary school higher grades' Chinese vocabulary teaching and analyzing the causing reasons,the author got following conclusions: firstly,because of teachers' lacking of professional knowledge and professional skills,vocabulary teaching can not combine with the students' physical and mental development characteristics,and in teaching methods,words are separated from language environment;secondly,because of teachers' misunderstanding of teaching ideas in vocabulary teaching,vocabulary teaching can not be set in its right place.Thirdly,students lack of reasonable learning motivation,causing the initiative of students' participate in class is poor and it hard to get into the good habit of learning vocabulary and so on.The fourth chapter is the countermeasures of solving problems.Based on the above problems and reason analysis,from the following aspects: the teacher's words teaching idea,teachers' education and teaching ability,stimulating students' learning initiative,home-school cooperation,combining the context in words teaching,combining the "zone of proximal development theory”,cognitive structure migration theory and other aspects,the author puts forward the effective countermeasures to solve the Chinese vocabulary teaching problems in higher grades in A primary school.
