In recent years,with rapid development of social economy and supports from government,universities are becoming larger both in scale and funding sources year by year.Business matters are increasingly complex.Cross-regional education,long-distance education is also common.The traditional financial management mode can't satisfy the increasing needs of business management,which will become the major factors that limited the development of the whole school in teaching and scientific research aspects.Problems,such as complex process,information resources sharing across different department,cross-agency collaboration,unfounded internal control system is widespread phenomenon.To solve those problems,this article,taking university T as an example,pay attentions to the theory and application of Financial Shared Services in order to optimize process and improve efficiency.Sharing is a kind of new management ideas.It aims to establish a service center,which shared services in all business units as much as possible,in order to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Financial Shared Services centralize the basic and scattered matters in various company into a relatively independent departments.This model can also be applied to universities,especially to cross-regional education and long-distance education situations.This paper means to analyze the disadvantages of current financial management mode by using the tools of comparative research,literature read method,case method and so on.This paper put forward accounting process as the research object,and design an Financial Shared Services mode of T university,and design a suitable Financial Shared Services System based on the existing information system.This paper provides a clearer and distinct perspective to optimize financial management system.The author really hope to provide some ideas for any other universities.
