With the development of secondary and higher vocational education,great achievements have been seen in this field,and the connection of secondary and higher vocational education has shown a progressive momentum.Now Chinese government has been working on a long-term program of the prospect of vocational education,which would lead to a growing demand of professional talents and a growing number of professional talents graduating every year.However,there still exist many problems---the quality of graduates not satisfactory,students not well-trained and graduates not able to meet the needs of enterprises and society.Many causes may contribute to this phenomenon,one of which is the students' uneven levels when they enter school,so it's difficult to take care of every student's need in a traditional-sized class.Therefore it has become an important issue how teachers should pay closer attention to the individuality and characters of each student,design more individualized instruction so that every student can better develop their potential abilities and ultimately,effectively improve the quality of vocational education.This is a research that focuses systematically on the stratified instruction mode in physics of higher vocational school.On the basis of a comprehensive review of stratified teaching theories,the author puts forward a set of strategies of in-class stratification,including stratification of students,in preparation of teaching plans,in giving instructions,in assigning homework,in tutoring and in evaluation.Meanwhile,the author carries out an experiment in a selected class for a whole semester.The results of the study show that a stratified instruction mode can not only improve students' scores of physics examinations,but also can significantly motivate students' interest of learning physics,rapidly boost the confidence of students who are slow in learning,promote teamwork as well as competition among students,cultivate the affection between teacher and students,and enhance the abilities of the instructor.The research proves that the stratifying strategies through all parts of education,which are put forward by the author,are effective and they can bring a satisfactory result to the implementation of stratified teaching in physics course in higher vocational schools.The author hopes that through this research,more teachers in vocational schools will raise their awareness and pay more attention to this area so that the quality of physics teaching in vocational schools can be improved.Meanwhile,this research is expected to be a reference to researchers of relevant areas and topics.
