Teenagers can get great energy and reward in the friendship relationship.By getting along with friends,they may get the support and company of friends,and have the emotional sustenance of friends,and their satisfaction in life will be greatly improved.With a good friendship,teenagers will be more willing to get along with friends,so as to boldly and frankly show themselves,more can promote their own socialization.Sincere and excellent friendship will help high school students to improve their personality traits,and close relationship will make high school students more willing to get along with others,interpersonal communication process is also more able to master skills,such as reasonable adjustment of their emotions,these are good friendship relationship to the benefits of teenagers.In recent years,researchers at home and abroad gradually pay attention to the importance of the quality of friendship to teenagers,and study and analyze it.Is of vital importance to the period of middle school students for life in the critical period,friendship is indispensable to their life relationship,so we need to conduct the thorough research to the quality of friendship,to explore how to interact between middle school students' personality and quality of friendship,and whether there is intrinsic factor,further investigate the mechanism by which the quality of friendship,so as to provide effective Suggestions on the development of friendship is suitable for high school students.In the study,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 1000 middle school students using the small five personality questionnaire,the Chinese interpersonal response index scale(IRI-C)and the friendship quality scale,and an empirical study was conducted on the relationship between adolescent personality,empathy ability and friendship quality.the results are as follows:(1)In terms of gender,girls scored significantly higher than boys in the total score of friendship quality,as well as the four dimensions of helping company,intimate communication,positive value,trust and respect,while girls scored lower than boys in the dimension of conflict and betrayal.In terms of grades,the scores of friendship quality of teenagers in different grades were significantly different in the four dimensions of total friendship quality,helping company,intimate communication,positive value and trust and respect.In terms of whether they are the only child or not,the scores of only children in the conflict and betrayal dimension are lower than those of non-only children,with a significant difference(p<0.01),while there is no significant difference in whether they are the only child or not in terms of the total scores of infidelity,intimate communication,affirmative value,trust and respect,and the quality of friendship.(2)In the five dimensions of personality,extroversion,agreeableness,conscientiousness and openness were significantly positively correlated with the total score of friendship quality,while neuroticism was not significantly correlated with the total score of friendship quality.The total score of empathy was positively correlated with the total score of friendship quality.(3)Among the five personality factors,conscientiousness,extraversion,agreeableness and neuroticism can significantly predict the total score of friendship quality(neuroticism is negative).The total score of empathy can significantly predict the total score of friendship quality as well as the four dimensions of helping company,intimate communication,positive value and trust and respect.(4)Personality as the independent variable,empathy as intermediary variables,friendship quality as the dependent variable to establish the mediation model show that empathy ability in extraversion and friendship are partial intermediary role between quality,empathy ability between agreeableness and friendship quality is partial intermediary role,empathy ability in cautious and friendship quality,positive partial intermediary role between empathy ability has a positive part in the quality of openness and friendship between the intermediary role.
