With China's ministry of education of the new rule:The cutoff date of first grade children in primary school shall be determined by the administrative department of education of the provincial level in accordance with the provisions of the law and the actual situation.For a long time,the issue of first-year school age has been closely watched.At the moment,the school-age segment is on Aug.31,which leaves many parents who's children born in September with a "headache":must wait for more than a year to go to school.There has been a surge in interest in policy concerns,and calls for a relaxation of the school deadline have been rising.Many scholars and experts in the field of population,economy,education,etc,from the relative age effect,absolute age effect analysis and opportunity cost point of view,to his own opinion,pay close attention to the adjustment of the education policy in China.Therefore,this article through to the literature,used Program for International Student Assessmenta student survey information,survey of 2015 interface in 15-16 years old student information.After the data screening,removed the student samples that may removal grade or advanced placement who have an impact on the relative age effect fromin the 2015 PISA survey.At first,the factors influencing the age of school students were analyzed.It was found that family factors had an important effect on the choice of children's admission time,and the relationship between age and family structure was analyzed.Secondly,after the establishment of the model that affects the students' academic achievement,the difference is analyzed from the normal enrollment,the delayed enrollment and the advance enrollment,and the characteristics of the family background and school characteristics are added to consider the factors that affect the academic achievement of the students.Through the empirical investigation of such problems,it helps to reduce the silent cost of family education investment,deeply understand the investment behavior of family human capital,and provide theoretical basis for the formulation of China's education policy.
