The nineteenth CPC National Congress report points out that the development of s ocialism with Chinese characteristics enters in a new era.This new era is the time to bu ild a comprehensive well-off society and then to build our country into a modern powe rful socialist one.The “two-all-round” reveals the character of integrality and harmony of development in new era.In order to achieve the goal of building our country in to a modern powerful socialist one,we should construct the new thinking pattern that adapt s to the new time.The integral thinking method guide us to comprehensive the objects in policy,economy,culture and society from a overall view,which would help us make useful plan to direct our actions and help us build a powerful modern socialist country.Meanwhile,Chairman Xi Jinping also points out that innovation is the original pow er to enhance the development.The talent people play an important role in innovative development.His report indicates that to cultivate students' integral thinking is an vital target in talent cultivation.Ideological and political education,as a person-to-person activity,represents a dynamic and complex systematic procedure and features of strong systematicness and integrity.Therefore,ideological and political education major must pay attention to the cultivation of the holistic thinking capability in the training of the future ideological and political educators so as to continuously satisfy the needs of ideological and political education practice activities.However,the actual investigations and the analysis of social phenomena release that due to factors such as the unitary nature of the talent evaluation mechanism,the lack of capable teachers and the unreasonable setting of curriculum system,the cultivation of holistic thinking capability of ideological and political education students in institutions of high learning is obviously insufficient.For this reason,based on the systematic elaboration of the holistic thinking mode,this dissertation analyzes the causes of the low holistic thinking capability of undergraduates majoring in ideological and political education under the investigation results of undergraduates and teachers of ideological and political education major.Finally,a targeted strategy to improve the holistic thinking capability of undergraduates majoring in ideological and political education is proposed.The body of this dissertation consists of four parts,the structure is as follows:The first part gives an overview of thinking and thinking modes.In terms of the outline of thinking,the definition of thinking and the types of thinking are introduced.In terms of the outline of thinking modes,the connotation of the thinking mode,the characteristics of evolution,and the role of thinking modes are introduced.The second part elaborates the related theories of the holistic thinking from its sources,definition and functions.The sources of the holistic thinking are explored and analyzed from two aspects: the theoretical sources and the realistic sources;the definition of the holistic thinking is expounded from the connotation and characteristics;the functions of the holistic thinking are explained form cognitive functions and practical functions.In the third part,the questionnaire survey and analysis of the holistic thinking capability of undergraduates majoring in ideological and political education is made.Firstly,the method,object and content of the survey are introduced.Secondly,relevant questionnaires on the status quo of the holistic thinking capability of undergraduates majoring in ideological and political education and the training status are analyzed.Finally,the reasons of the lack of holistic thinking capability of undergraduates majoring in ideological and political education are analyzed from three aspects,namely,the teachers,the curriculum,and the training and evaluation methods of talents in the education system.The fourth part discusses the strategy of the cultivation of holistic thinking capability of undergraduates majoring in ideological and political education,which consists of four aspects: improving the training and evaluation methods of talents in the education system;establishing and developing the scientific assessment concepts of ideological and political education;enhancing the teachers' holistic thinking capability and the awareness of the cultivation of the undergraduates;and promoting the reform of the ideological and political education curriculum system.
