There is a saying in English that a good beginning is a good ending.It is the case with an English class.The lead-in section is the beginning of a class,an important step to guide students to learn the course and cultivate their learning interest.An important role of classroom lead-in is to build a bridge between the old knowledge that the students have mastered and the new knowledge that is about to be learned,so that students can better accept new knowledge.Carefully designed classroom lead-in can attract students' attention,stimulate students' interest in learning,and further arouse students' learning motivation inside.In addition,the classroom lead-in with practical teaching can not only enhance the emotional interaction between teachers and students,let the students enter the English classroom in a very active atmosphere and feel relaxed and happy,but also help to fully mobilize the students' enthusiasm for learning and greatly promote the improvement of students' learning effect.At present,teachers have recognized the important role of classroom lead-in,but influenced by the traditional teaching concept,the lead-in of primary school English classroom teaching has such problems as implausible situation,random time,unable to fully reflect the students' subjectivity,method single,and the methods not flexible enough.The study of primary school English classroom lead-in is helpful for English teachers to re study in class and to get new knowledge and reflect on their classroom teaching.On this basis,instructing teachers' practical teaching helps to improve the quality of teaching.This study takes the lead-in section of the English class for students of Grades 3-5 in the Primary School of Yantai City Development Zone as an example,and the research is based on humanistic learning theory and constructivist learning theory.Based on a large number of reading materials,the author developed the classroom observation form and observed it through class lectures.In order to further understand the current situation of English classroom lead-in,30 in-service English teachers were selected to carry out a questionnaire survey,and 15 teachers and 15 students were interviewed respectively in order to further improve the conclusions.On the basis of comprehensive inquiry,the author finds problems of English classroom lead-in teaching.The author also analyzes the reasons for the problems.The reasons for the problems lies in the fact that teachers ignore the real and reasonable principle of English classroom lead-in teaching,lack of attention to the English classroom lead-in time control,ignore the students' main position and lack the deep exploration of the theory and practice of English classroom lead-in.Corresponding countermeasures against these problems are put forward.It is necessary to pay attention to the situation of English classroom lead-in,arrange the teaching process reasonably,attach importance to the students' subjectivity and master a variety of classroom lead-in methods skillfully,and apply it flexibly to English classroom lead-in teaching.
