Nowadays,with the development speed beyond our imagination,the information technology is applied to all walks of life.In addition,the application of the information technology in education is in full swing.In the process of the Biology teaching,on the basis of the characteristics of Biology such as abstraction,complexity and strong theorization,the advantage of the application of multimedia is nonnegligible.In the class of Biology,image and text are combined,and sound and image are combined in multimedia to show unique attraction,which plays a nonnegligible role in stimulating students' interest in learning,improving students' thinking ability,widening students' vision and improving teaching effect and teaching quality.At present,the trend of the application of multimedia appears or even the application of multimedia is emphasized overly in some schools.The multimedia equipment in the school the author practiced in is electronic whiteboard.In the teaching of Biology in the first grade of the senior high school,the integrated multimedia teaching is adopted.Teachers are mainly dependant on courseware,from which some features can be seen such as the single form,the focus on demonstration pictures and videos,They have very little blackboard-writing and even no blackboard-writing.Moreover,they spend very little time on the interaction and communication with their students.In this project,the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional teaching and the multimedia teaching as well as the role of the multimedia aided teaching in the Biology teaching were expounded firstly.Then,through an experiment,the application of the multimedia aided teaching in the Biology teaching was studied.In the first grade of the senior high school,four parallel classes were selected.Two of the parallel classes were taken as the experimental group and the rest two classes were taken as the control group.In the control group,the multimedia teaching was applied fully.In the experimental group,the traditional teaching was combined with the multimedia teaching.It was namely the multimedia aided teaching.In the course of the experiment,the two groups of students' enthusiasm and status were observed.The results of student interviews and teacher interviews before and after theexperiment were analyzed synthetically,and the mid-term exam performance of the four classes was analyzed synthetically.The result showed that the class of the control group was dull and short of the active atmosphere,and the students from the experimental group showed a strong learning interest in class and after class.The effect of the multimedia aided teaching in the senior school Biology teaching is better than that of the simple multimedia teaching.The advantage of the multimedia aided teaching in the high school Biology teaching is obvious,but it should be noted that the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional teaching and the multimedia teaching should be mastered in the application of the multimedia aided teaching so as to maximize the advantages and improve the teaching efficiency by making best use of the advantages and bypassing the disadvantages.
