The teaching material construction is the core and foundation of the curriculum reform. Today, the functions of Multimedia Technology have been more obvious in education, the new conception of teaching material has been more popular, and the contradiction between traditional textbooks and modern educational scenes has been more severe. In order to accord with this trend, the construction of Multimedia Teaching Material has been mentioned in education. However, the specialized researches on Biological Multimedia Teaching Material are still seldom absent in China. And some concepts in this field haven't been comprehended uniformly.The purpose of this research is to explore the theory of the Biological Multimedia Teaching Material construction. Firstly, the author tries to define some concepts of this field on the basis of researching theories and ideas from others. Secondly, to discuss objectively the shortcomings in previous researches and practices and come up with some suggestions to improve them by the academic and practical researches. Thirdly, to provide experience for the exploitation and application of Biological Multimedia Teaching Material by the experimental research.The thesis uses the methods of literature research, investigation and experiment, etc. The following five parts compose the body of this thesis:The first part is the summary. This part presents the background, some correlative concepts and the meaning of the theme. On this foundation, the author summarizes the predominance of Biological Multimedia Teaching Material and the bases of its construction.The second part is the literature search for researches on the construction of Multimedia Teaching Material. The author searches the literatures in the education and social subject of CJFD, analyzes the researchers' different attentions in different periods and points out a series of meaningful problems.The third part is the exploitation and application of Biological Multimedia Teaching Material. At first, the author points out the polestar of exploitation that Biological Multimedia Teaching Material is not almighty and it doesn't means absolutely replacing or rejecting other biological teaching materials. At the same time, the author emphasizes that it is not necessary to display all the biological contents by the way of multimedia. On this foundation, the author puts forward some principles in exploitation, and analyzes how to choose and organize the contents. In this part, the author designs a series of Rubrics and the Multimedia Teaching Material: "Simulation of Designing the Virescence Blue Print for Our Campus". Then, an experiment was carried out to prove the practicability of this multimedia teaching material. In accordance with the outcome of the experiment, the Biological Multimedia Teaching Material is more propitious to achieve the teaching aims, mobilize students' initiative, rectify their studying attitude and improve their studying interest. As for the management of the Biological Multimedia Teaching Material, the author advises that unify the foundational principles, use the classificatory management system, improve the censor system for teaching material and strengthen the management of selecting Biological Multimedia Teaching Material.The fourth part is conclusions. The author summarizes some conclusions in the study.The fifth part is discussion and recommendations. The author analyzes the problems in the construction of Biological Multimedia Teaching Material and puts forward corresponding recommendations.
