The importance of education to the future development of individuals is self-evident.Compulsory education has a basic position in education,and has been widely concerned by the public.China also attaches great importance to the development of education.Every year,the amount of financial expenditure on compulsory education is very large.Nevertheless,there are still some unreasonable phenomena in our country's compulsory education expenditure,such as unreasonable allocation and inefficient use of financial funds.In order to improve the government performance consciousness,guide the financial funds to flow to the weak link of compulsory education,and promote the rational allocation of the financial funds of compulsory education,it is necessary to carry out the performance evaluation of the financial funds of compulsory education,and analyze the effect and efficiency of the financial funds of compulsory education.This paper tries to explore the performance evaluation of compulsory education financial expenditure based on the research of other scholars.It is divided into six chapters.First,on the basis of reading a lot of literature,the research status and process of compulsory education performance evaluation at home and abroad,and the theoretical basis of performance evaluation of compulsory education are sorted out,and the methods of performance evaluation in this paper are determined.Secondly,it briefly introduces the status quo of the performance evaluation of compulsory education in China and the obvious problems in the process of performance evaluation.Furthermore,it discusses the components of the performance evaluation of compulsory education,and focuses on the performance evaluation index system which is very important for the performance evaluation,and uses the method of efficiency coefficient to combine the method of DEA to the expenditure of compulsory education in Anhui province.The related data is taken as an example to test the index system in this paper.Finally,on the basis of the research,we put forward suggestions for further improving the performance evaluation of compulsory education in China.The index can be divided into two categories: compulsory education financial input and output when designing specific performance indicators,according to the 4E principle combined with the responsibility goals of educational departments,and referring to many scholars' index design.It is expected to reflect the degree of the education sector's efforts on compulsory education and to evaluate the level of urban and rural performance in compulsory education.In order to be more objective and facilitate the comparative analysis between regions,we put more importance on the proportion index.When evaluating the performance of compulsory education expenditure in Anhui Province,there are three levels.First of all,the financial expenditure of compulsory education in Anhui province is evaluated in general.Secondly,the financial expenditure of compulsory education in urban and rural areas of Anhui province is evaluated respectively in order to investigate the status of urban and rural education development in Anhui Province.Moreover,the performance evaluation of compulsory education expenditure in China is carried out.
