As we all know,to learn a language,people must master the vocabulary of that language.For students,learning Chinese vocabulary is obviously the only way to master Chinese.Chinese teaching starts late in Korean primary school and has not formed a complete teaching system yet.The primary school stage is a critical period for primary school students to learn their second language,but they encounter lots of difficulties in the learning process of Chinese vocabulary because the primary school students are not psychologically and physically mature yet and the Chinese teaching of primary school students is often neglected.Therefore,the teaching of Chinese vocabulary for primary school students in Korea is very important.Based on the actual survey data,this article finds major problems in vocabulary learning of Korean primary school students from four main aspects: vocabulary sound,shape,meaning and application.To address above problems,the article conducts in-depth analysis by combining the Korean primary school students' psychological and physiological characteristics.Meanwhile,based on the practical teaching experience of Chinese teachers and the author,teaching strategies are put forward to deal with vocabulary teaching for Korean primary school students.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction of this article.It mainly introduces the reason and significance of the problem of Chinese vocabulary teaching for Korean primary school students,the current research status of Chinese teaching strategies for primary school students at home and abroad,and the research objectives and research methods of this article.The second part focuses on the analysis of the survey result of Chinese vocabulary teaching in three primary schools in Lunsan,South Korea.It includes the implementation process of surveys and interviews,the statistics of the basic conditions of the three primary schools' Chinese language teaching,the acquisition of Chinese vocabulary of primary school students,the vocabulary teaching strategies commonly used by Chinese teachers,and the vocabulary types which are easy to make mistakes.The third part,based on the analysis of the survey result of the second part,summarizes problems relating to vocabulary sound,shape,meaning and application in Chinese vocabulary learning and conducts cause analysis.The fourth part proposes related teaching strategies to address problems arising in the vocabulary teaching for Korean primary school students,including the mothertongue association strategy,the direct presentation strategy and the Chinese vocabulary training strategy.
