Since 2005,a number of matchmaking events and matchmaking rallies have emerged in the Central Park of some of our cities,and now in China's major central cities,we can find a matchmaking park belonging to the local people's marriage "trade",which is highly developed in the Internet today.Urban youth's choice of ways of choosing a variety of different ways of dating or making friends,why the elderly are keen to go to the park to help children Blind Date?Apart from their family obligations,what is the point of creating a matchmaking corner?Therefore,this paper adopts the method of participatory observation and semi-structured interview,through the snowball sampling and encounter sampling to find interviews,and Combing the four main body of the matchmaking corner,as follow:parents,the youth,intermediary and park keeper,by finding out how to interact between four subjects and how to present themselves in the matchmaking corner to find the truth.From the perspective of"space",this paper explores the characteristics and functions of this public space,as well as the situation of the modern city people in the issue of love and marriage.In this public space,parents and young men show significant differences in their self-presentation,while parents pay attention to the display of family cultural capital when they interact,while the youth Blind Date pays more attention to the display of individual cultural capital.The attitude towards the matchmaking corner is diametrically opposed,and the parents are the perpetrators of the stigma of the matchmaking corner,while the young blind date is more active in the evaluation of the matchmaking corner.Interaction with the intermediary,the intermediary and the parents formed the informal cooperative relations,while parents becomes the intermediary most main informer.The interaction between the intermediary and the parents and the park side is essentially the contention for the allocation of the space resources of the matchmaking corner,the essence is the contention of power,therefore the matchmaking corner is not only the material space,It is a social space with complex social relations.As the boundary property of the public space matchmaking corner is blurred,the clients and the Internet products are pouring into the space,the arrival of the clients makes the negative impact on the space,and the advent of the Internet products make the matchmaking corner tend to be entertaining and marketable.Through the interaction between the above-mentioned subjects,this paper concludes that the matchmaking corner as a public space has the following characteristics:openness and influence,visibility and trust,non-profit and security,these three characteristics are the most important factors that impel these subjects to enter the matchmaking corner,and also the influence factors of the popularity of the matchmaking corner.Finally,the article express a advice that the parents will see matchmaking corner as a tool to solve social problems,and the profound social connotation behind it is the behavior of the parents under the individualized process,which is the reflection of the individualized process of China.
