Marriage Exchange Theory explains the mate selection preferences and the will to get married from the rational point of view. Researcher finds the important role of marriage market during the study of mate selection concept of the highly educated women. Educational expansion and one-child policy has brought rapid promotion of women, so that highly educated women face the marriage space squeezing in traditional model. Through depth interviews and participant observation, the researcher find, young women with high education still prefer the traditional marriage model which men should be better than women. This is reflected in the requirements of the spouse's income and the idealistic emphasis on romantic; older high educated women gradually decreasing the selection standard or marriage will in the larger space squeezing.The results show that the formation of the concept of the individual mate selection concept is based on the exchange theory and corrected by the marriage market equilibrium degree. It's a continuous process.
