Task-based language teaching(TBLT)approach had been paid great attention in carrying on the new curriculum reform in recent years.However most of the researches of the TBLT were on the urban primary and secondary schools,while a few is on the rural primary schools systematically.Regarding this situation,the paper,under the theoretical guidance and practical observation made an empirical research on the effective implementation of TBLT in rural primary school English.Firstly,through intensive research,the domestic and foreign studies were sorted out on TBLT and the design principles,characteristics and implementing model were introduced,which gives a comprehensive elaboration of the padagogy of TBLT.Secondly,a research is conducted on the effectiveness of the TBLT in rural primary schools,by using the method of empirical study,a lot of related questionnaires,interviews and classroom observation.By the way of study on the the effectiveness of the TBLT in rural primary schools,the following problems show up: First,students' English language ability is week and their motivation of participating in the tasks is not high.Secondly,teachers need a lot of comprehensive understanding of the TBLT and improve their ability of designing tasks.Thirdly,the textbooks in primary school lack of authenticity and teaching materials are not enough,which adds to the difficulties to implement tasks design.Fourthly,the external environment lacks of related teaching equipments while the internal environment does not get enough attention from both the teachers and students on English learning,which hinder theTBLT implement ion successfully.Regarding the above problems,the author uses date analysis and questionnares to find out and put forward the following suggestions: Firstly,guiding the students in proper way and awaking students learning motivation to take part in the learning tasks.Secondly,encouraging teachers to learn more about pedagogies like TBLT and improving their abilities of designing task.Thirdly,organizing the task activities based on students' needs and at the same time supplying more proper learning materials of task.Fourthly,as for the external environment strengthening the construction of equipments to make the tasks completed successfully,while as for the internal environment more attentions should be paid to the English learning.
