As the problem of poor oral English emerges, the academic world has turned to change the traditional idea of education and seek the new pedagogy, in order to alter the situation. So how to urge student to express their own thought and willing to communicate with others in English, it needs teachers continue thinking in their teaching.Based on literature analysis method, this paper discuss the developing background? the basic conception?the theoretical basis of this research. In addition, this paper also deeply analyses the elements which is related to designing a task.The author introduces the reason why we research, and emphases the importance of the research from two aspects: optimization of the teaching mode, promotion of student's commmicative ability. In addition, the author expounds a literature review and puts forward the research methods: Bibliography Research Method?Interview Method?Investigation Research Method and Case Analysis Method. And then, the author defines the concept of Task-Based Teaching Approach on the basis of what notion they have and also distinguishes the conception which is related to task,then, the author analyses the theoretical basis of this research. What's more,the author mainly describes the feasibility and necessity of Task-Based Approach in teaching primary English. Then, the author elaborates the feasibility from two aspects: the requirement of English curriculum standards?the feature of students. As respects the necessity,the author focuses on English teaching situation and points out the problem in current primary English teaching. In view of above-mentioned facts, the author discusses the advantage of Task-Based Teaching Approach. Moreover, combining with the reality of China, the author enriches and develops the principle of designing task in English teaching of primary school, that is,"authenticity?the priority of meaning?task chain?student-orientation",and the principle of task designs is striving to get closer to student lives?get them actively engaged and guide them to be the owner of study. In the process of doing task, it can gives full scope to students ' initiative and develops their communicative ability and divergent thinking. According to those principles, with reference to the domestic and foreign scholars such as the design of the task type and the influencing factors of task difficulty, the author sets up the type of task and the difficulty level of task in English teaching of primary school. Besides, on the basis on the research of predecessors, the author makes the adjustment in the framework of Task-Based teaching, so as to adapt to the primary English teaching in China and establish the task-based teaching framework in primary school. According to the design of the task types?degree of task difficulty and framework of the Task-Based Approach, the author analyses how to use Task-Based Approach in English of primary school with the PEP 2013 version, in order to let the task to fit in the curriculum and English teaching method in China, and the concrete case teaching steps of Task-Based Approach is given.
