"Use letters to represent numbers." is the basis of grade seven students in an introductory Algebra Learning,one of the most important contents of algebra knowledge is in mathematics,so "Use letters to represent numbers." learning effect will directly affect the future of the relevant algebra knowledge learning quality.For students who have just moved from primary school to secondary school,learning to use "letters" means that students move from arithmetic operations into algebraic operations,and that thinking levels change from arithmetic thinking to algebraic thinking.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the problem,the purpose and significance of the study,the current research situation and research methods,and puts forward the problems and the necessity of the study.The second chapter first defines the concept of using letters to denote numbers,and explains the requirements of the standard for the number of letters.Then it analyzes the content of "letter number" in the teaching material,which is divided into junior middle school textbooks and primary school textbooks.This paper analyzes the content arrangement and requirements of "letter number representation" in junior high school textbooks,and the situation and analysis of "letter number representation" in primary school textbooks.Finally,it expounds the theoretical basis of the teaching of "using letters to represent numbers".The third chapter makes a survey and analysis of the current situation of "letter number representation",and makes a detailed statistical analysis of the students' test results.Finally,according to the statistical results and interviews,we get the possible problems and causes in teaching.The fourth chapter puts forward four teaching strategies: first,the introduction of letters number,and strengthen the cohesion with primary school.Emphasis on the concept of variable teaching,improve students' mathematical literacy.Pay attention to the existing experience and cognitive rules,and promote the positive transfer of students' knowledge.Good at summing up similar types of topics,so that students digest.The fifth chapter introduces a "letter number" teaching design,and makes a detailed analysis of the design.Through this research,will provide a feasible and effective teaching strategies to express numbers with letters "teaching,and help the grade seven mathematics teachers to implement more effective teaching in the classroom,and better grade seven students to accept the knowledge,a deeper understanding of the meaning of the letter.
