A Group Social Work Intervention Practice In Elderly Immigrants' Community Adaptation

After the reform and opening up,on the one hand,the process of urbanization with economic development continues to accelerate.On the other hand,we should also pay attention to the increasing rate of family population mobility and the growing problem of population aging.It is in this social background that the elderly are called "old drifters".They say goodbye to their hometown and old friends and come to the city where their children are fighting,but they have to adapt to the new living environment,cultural atmosphere and interpersonal relationships when they are supposed to enjoy their old age.This kind of life change is a kind of impact to many old people.Some of the old people who move along with them are unable to adapt well because of some subjective and objective reasons.You should live with the move.Therefore,as social workers,it is necessary for us to pay attention to the present situation of these elderly people and find out the difficulties and needs they face,so as to provide more precise and professional services to help them adapt to community life and get a happy old age.Based on the social support theory,the field dynamic theory and the advantage perspective theory,this paper takes the moving elderly in the M community of Bao?an District of Shenzhen as the research object.First of all,the author starts with the methods of literature survey,interview and non-participation observation,starting with four aspects: cultural acceptance,social interaction,individual psychological adaptation and family support.Understand the community adaptation of the elderly in the community.Through the analysis of the data,we find out the needs of the elderly in M community.On the basis of this,the author designs and carries out seven sections of team work services in response to their actual needs.Finally,through Through the evaluation of the process and effect of the whole group service,the author rethinks and sums up the experience,hoping to serve the elderly group better in the future.
