One of important characteristics of Geography is very practical,as the punishment of 《Ordinary high school geography curriculum standards(2017 edition)》,as one of the core geographic literacy of geographic practice force attaches great importance,and an important part of geographic practice force-geography practice ability is also more outstanding,using geographical park to improve the high school students’ geography practice ability has irreplaceable function,in this paper,the writer discussed the application of geological park in cultivating high school students’ geography practice ability.The main methods used in this paper are literature analysis,questionnaire investigation,case analysis and so on.First of all,based on collecting and analyzing existing literature,defined the concept of geographical park and geography practice ability.Then analyzed present situation that the application of geological park in cultivating high school students’ geography practice ability.Found that the use frequency of geographical park is low,it is important that cultivating high school students’ geography practice ability in geographical park,however,the teachers failed to play its biggest role.Students’ learning efficiency in geographical park is higher,the viewpoint of geography practice ability is insufficient,the evaluation of their geographical practice ability is low.The reasons lie that the teaching design to enhance students’ capabilities in geographic al park is insufficient,geographical parks’ facilities and the later period management is imperfect,teaching in geographical park is difficult under the current examination evaluation system,etc.For this,the writer think that the teaching design should be combined with the teaching contents’ practical principle,initiative and dominant principle,scientific and ideology principle,operability principle,etc.Then according to the characteristics of the geographical park teaching and the cultivation process of geography practice ability,guiding with constructivism,cognitive-discovery learning theory and so on,taking the high school’s geography textbooks of China map publishing house to summarize the teaching material that can teaching in geographical park,design the teaching process—Hypsographic Map、The Revolution of the Earth and The Rock,select The Rock implementing as a case.It turned out that the students’ interest in learning is high,the teaching effect is good,but the teaching discipline and emergency need to be prepared.Finally,put forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the research results to give full play to the teaching and educating function of geographical park,so as to strengthen its application in the high school students’ geography practice ability.
