Teachers are the engineers of human souls and guides for the healthy growth of students.And the quality of teachers,especially their occupational ethics,is directly related to the healthy growth of their students,the development and progress of the society,and the future of our nation.Survey results reveal that the occupational ethics of middle school teachers generally show a favorable trend and most middle school teachers have noble occupational ethics.However,a small number of them manifest some problems in their occupational ethics,mainly in their occupational ideals,responsibilities,skills,compliance,etc.,which are further deteriorating.Therefore,further in-depth study on the status quo of and strategies to develop teachers’ occupational ethics is one of the top priorities to develop the high quality of the middle school teachers.For the purpose of revealing the status quo of the occupational ethics of middle school teachers in Z city,a survey was conducted into the main problems existing in the occupational ethics of three middle schools in Z city.And then the main reasons for these problems were analyzed in respect of society,schools and teachers.Lastly,measures are proposed from the macro,meso and micro perspectives to improve the occupational ethics of the teachers.Specifically,the measures proposed are: to promote the level of the occupational ethics of middle school teachers by coordinating the efforts of the government and society from the macro perspective,giving full play to the management efficiency of schools from the meso perspective,and making more efforts in the education and training on teachers’ moral ethics.
