With the development of economic cooperation in the world to deepen, the enterprise face the competition pressure is growing, human resources management is an important foundation for enterprises to enhance their competitiveness, performance appraisal is an important standard to measure the effectiveness of enterprise human resources management. Performance appraisal focused only on the form in the past, existing some problems which are the unscientific performance evaluation system, the unreasonable performance evaluation method, lack of feedback mechanism, leading to the performance appraisal to the human resources department and employee has no practical significance. More and more enterprises realize that to establish a suitable performance appraisal system of the company in order to improve employee performance, to improve the efficiency of the company, to increase the efficiency of enterprises. Shanghai FW company as a representative of the medium-sized enterprises in medical equipment, the existing staff performance appraisal problems are universal, to provide reference and help the medical device industry by researching the company's employee performance appraisal in China.Firstly, based on the present development situation of medical device industry, this paper puts forward the significance of this research, research methods and context, the domestic and foreign research performance evaluation as the research background of this paper. Secondly, the paper summarizes the basic theory and method of performance appraisal. Then this paper studies the Shanghai FW company, through the questionnaire survey and to study the organizational structure, to analyze fully the current situation of staff performance evaluation, to analyze the existing problems of performance appraisal system, to point out the cause of the problem. On this basis, According to the design principle of key performance indicators, this paper redesigns the performance appraisal system of Shanghai FW company's indicators and weight of index. Finally, in order to ensure the smooth implementation of performance appraisal system to put forward the implementation steps and safeguards of performance appraisal program.
