Study On Relationship Between Industrial Structure And Employment Structure In Anhui Province

With the continuous development of our economy, industrial structure has been changing significantly. It means the proportion of primary industry has been declining rapidly in the national economy, the proportion of secondary and tertiary industry rising, especially the tertiary industry. In theory, the industrial structure change drives the change of employment structure accordingly. So, how about the employment situation of industries in our country now? What is the relationship between changes of industrial structure and them of employment structure? Especially since entering new century, our country gradually turns into the transformation of the mode of economic development and the new stage of promoting the adjustment of industrial structure. In this context, it has important practical significance for optimizing the industrial structure, promoting people-oriented urbanization and developing the economy of our country to explore the relationship between industry structure and employment structure.As a major agricultural province, Anhui also has a big population. For over 30 years of reform and opening up, Anhui's economy maintains steady growth. At the same time, industrial structure and employment structure have been changing. However, as one of the main provinces supplying agricultural products and raw materials, Anhui has high proportion of traditional industries, which are largely in the low-end industrial chain; on the other hand, the employment problem is more outstanding, mostly depending on external employment. Therefore, taking Anhui province as the research object, the paper uses methods of comparative analysis and empirical analysis to explore the relationship between industrial structure and employment structure, hoping to provide decision-making reference for enhancing the level of economic development in Anhui provide.On the basis of related research, the paper has made the exploration of the following aspects:First of all, this paper makes the descriptive analysis of the evolution and future trends of Anhui's industrial structure and employment structure since the reform and opening up; secondly, this paper makes the empirical analysis of the relations between industrial structure and employment structure through the indicators such as structural deviation degree, comparative labor productivity and employment elasticity; thirdly, this paper makes use of unit root test, co-integration test and granger causality test to analyze the correlation between industrial structure and employment structure; finally, the inner influences of industrial structure to employment structure are further analyzed.Based on the above research, this paper found that:(1) Internal structure of primary industry is unreasonable, and the traditional planting industry occupies large proportion of primary industry. Coupled with factors such as binary structure, land system, it leads to a large number of rural surplus labor forces which are not transferred effectively; (2) Heavy industrialization level of secondary industry rises year after year, which leads to insufficient of the capacity of employment absorption; (3) The development of tertiary industry lags behind, and the internal structure is also unreasonable. As a result, tertiary industry has not reached employment absorption potential.Based on the research conclusion, the paper finally puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations.
