The Study On The Relationship Among MTS Interdependence, Coordination Process And Effectiveness

As the "internet+" age approach, the internet industry has become a new power.which promotes economic growth of the world. The internet is creating a new wave of innovation and revolution, which making a difference on the Internet technology, products, organization management, business model, market and so on. The Internet industry has its own unique characteristics that bighly efficient, innovative, and open, which create a great challenge for organization management. In order to the develop perfect products, Teams in Internet companies with different functions cooperate with each other.They work as a multi-team system. Coordination process and interdependence are the apparent characteristics of internet MTS. To deal effectively with interdependence and coordination process in MTS is the key to improve effectiveness.By literature review on interdependence, coordination process and effectiveness, we find that there are abundant studies on interdependence and coordination process on team-level, but there is a lack of studies on interdependence and coordination on multi-team level, especial about the internet multi-team level. Additionally, although the existing research have tested the relationship between interdependence and effectiveness, and the relationship between coordination process and effectiveness, there are few studies on the relationship between interdependence and coordination process, and even the studies integrate these three factors. Therefore, this study tests the relationship among MTS interdependence, coordination process and effectiveness, and discusses the mediation role of coordination process. Finally, this study reveals the mechanism of how MTS interdependence promotes coordination process and how promotes process effectiveness thereafter.This study takes the multi-teams system in internet companies as the object, used correlation analysis and structural equation model to testify the construct of variables, and then build the model of internet MTS interdependence, coordination process and effectiveness. Analyzing the effect of interdependence on coordination process, the effect of coordination process on effectiveness, and on this basis testing the mediation of coordination process. The main conclusions of this study as follow:(l)In internet MTS, interdependence has significant effect on effectiveness.(2)In internet MTS, interdependence has significant effect on coordination process.(3)In internet MTS, coordination process has significant effect on effectiveness.P:fferent dimensions of coordination process have different effect on different dimensions of effectiveness.Transition coordination process of coordination process dosen't have significant effect on effectiveness including task performance but cooperation satisfaction and vitality. And operation coordination process of coordination process dosen't have significant effect on effectiveness including coordination satisfaction but coordination satisfaction and task performance.(4)In internet MTS, different dimensions of coordination process have different mediate effect in interdependence and effectiveness..Transition coordination process of coordination process mediate the relationship between goal interdependence and effectiveness;transition coordination process only mediate the relationship between task interdependence and coordination satisfaction and vitality; but does not mediate the relationship between goal interdependence and task performance.Action coordination process of coordination process mediate the relationship between task interdependence and effectiveness; action coordination process only mediate the relationship between goal interdependence and task performance and vitality; does not mediate the relationship between goal interdependence and coordination satisfaction.
