The performance management system is the core content of the human resources management, a significant of modern HR Management. A good performance management system, is not only to assess each employee contribution to the organization, but also generally provides conclusive assessment information for the HR Management. Then improve the organization of the feedback function, improve staff performance, strengthen their competitiveness and, ultimately, to promote the implementation of the corporate strategic objectives. However, the overall operation of the performance management system for China's enterprises now is not ideal. Therefore, to establish the performance management system to evaluate the effectiveness of an enterprise performance management, then identify the problems and propose appropriate countermeasures for China's Enterprise Performance Management, is an important significance.This study takes HEI LONG JIANG COAL GROUP as a research subject, researching the assessment of performance management system. Based on the composition of the performance management system of the enterprise, this study analyses the present status of the performance management system, including strategic target, division of roles, and the management process. In order to figure out how to assess the performance management system, an evaluation model with 9 evaluation indicators is established, which stipulates the evidence of setting weight and the evaluation criteria of results, and the performance management system of HEI LONG JIANG COAL GROUP is assessed according to the evaluation model. In the meanwhile, a questionnaire on how the performance management system of this group works is also carried out. According to both results of model analyzing and questionnaire, this study summarizes the problems existing in performance management system of HEI LONG JIANG COAL GROUP, and also offers suggestions on how to improve such problems.
